1. NATURE OF THE PROGRAM
The Journey to Motherhood program is an online educational course designed to support learning, reflection, and understanding related to pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood.
The program may include:
• Pre-recorded educational content
• Written resources and downloadable PDFs
• Group discussions or community spaces
• General educational responses to submitted questions (where applicable)
2. EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION ONLY
All content provided in this program is general educational information only.
The program does not provide:
• Midwifery care
• Medical, nursing, or allied health services
• Individualised assessment, diagnosis, or treatment
• Clinical decision-making support
Nothing within this program should be relied upon as a substitute for professional healthcare advice.
3. NO MIDWIFERY–CLIENT OR THERAPEUTIC RELATIONSHIP
Although Abbey Rodda is a registered midwife in Australia, she is not practising as a midwife within this program.
Participation in this program does not create:
• A midwife–client relationship
• A clinician–patient relationship
• A therapeutic or duty-of-care relationship
Abbey Rodda is acting solely in an educational capacity, drawing on professional knowledge and experience to support learning and reflection.
4. SCOPE OF PRACTICE & PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES
You acknowledge and agree that:
• Abbey Rodda does not have access to your medical history, examinations, or investigations
• No clinical assessment is undertaken
• Responses to questions are general, non-individualised, and educational
• Clinical decisions must be made with your own healthcare providers
Where a question or discussion raises safety concerns, Abbey Rodda may recommend that you seek advice from your midwife, doctor, or another appropriate health professional.
5. CONTINUITY OF CLINICAL CARE
You are strongly encouraged to:
• Maintain an ongoing relationship with your chosen healthcare provider(s)
• Discuss any questions or concerns raised by this program with them
This program is intended to support informed conversations, not replace professional care.
6. URGENT OR EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
This program and any associated community spaces are not suitable for urgent, acute, or emergency concerns.
If you or your baby experience symptoms that require immediate attention, you must:
• Contact your healthcare provider, or
• Call emergency services (000 in Australia)
Abbey Rodda does not provide emergency or after-hours support through this program.
7. QUESTIONS, Q&A, AND GROUP INTERACTIONS (IF INCLUDED)
Where the program includes the opportunity to submit questions or participate in group discussions:
• Questions are responded to in an educational and reflective capacity only
• Responses do not constitute personalised healthcare advice
• Abbey Rodda may decline to answer questions that require clinical assessment
Community spaces are for shared learning and support and must not be used to:
• Seek or provide medical advice
• Diagnose or treat conditions
• Replace professional healthcare consultations
8. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY & DECISION-MAKING
By participating in this program, you acknowledge that:
• You retain full responsibility for your healthcare decisions
• You will seek appropriate professional advice where required
• You understand the limits of an educational program
9. ACCESS, DELIVERY & CHANGES
• Program access is provided for the duration stated at purchase
• Access may expire at the end of the specified period
• Abbey Rodda may update, modify, or discontinue content or delivery methods where necessary
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All materials are protected by Australian copyright law.
Materials are provided for personal use only and must not be copied, shared, recorded, or distributed.
11. REFUNDS & AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Refund policies are outlined at the point of purchase.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that cannot be excluded.
12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
• Abbey Rodda is not liable for outcomes arising from the use of educational content
• You agree that decisions made following participation in this program are your responsibility
